My Health RCSI

Making health human

My Health RCSI is a unique initiative from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland that brings science to life through stories, conversations, and lived experience. Offering a free programme of community events, expert talks, and on-demand content, it provides trusted health information designed to empower people in their everyday lives. The challenge was to reposition the brand so that it could reach beyond its existing audience and engage a younger, more diverse demographic.

The ambition was clear: to be a human voice and not just a trusted source. Rather than being seen as a distant authority, My Health needed to connect with people on a personal level, showing how world-class science translates into real-world answers that matter in their daily lives.

The new identity builds directly from this positioning. The visual system is bold and human, with a modular design language that flexes seamlessly across digital, print, and event environments. Geometric “H” forms create a distinctive graphic toolkit. Each variation in the “H” acts as a metaphor for the many shapes health can take, while the vibrant colour palette brings energy and accessibility to the programme.

The role of language was equally important. We shifted away from medical jargon and embraced clarity, empathy, and storytelling instead. “Making health human” became the central idea, a promise that My Health would meet people where they are, speak their language, and talk about health in a way that feels approachable and relevant.

The result is a brand that bridges the gap between world-class science and everyday life, translating research into real-world answers and approaching every topic with care and clarity. Making health more understandable, more personal, and more human.
